The St. Paul Saints, our local, professional baseball team began operations in 1993. This year will be their 17th season! During the 2008 season, the Saints’ regular attendance reached 293,196. In 2008, the Saints averaged 6,237 fans during their 48 home games. Some of the unique Saints attractions and traditions include; pre-game tailgating with live music, therapeutic chair massages from Sister Rose, the chance to watch the game from a hot tub located in leftfield, and much more.
We are proud to have the St. Paul Saints as MetroIBA members since 2008, and thank them for all their support in the community and of our alliance. The Saints have generously donated gift cards for our new member packets (tell your friends) and will host one of our Spring Networking Events, so stay tuned and….Go Saints!

MetroIBA in the News
SPPN Appearance
Metro IBA got a great opportunity to get our message out to 52,000 households on the local cable show, St. Paul Forum. Executive Director, Mary Hamel and Board President, Nancy Breymeier were invited to discuss the importance of locally owned businesses to the community with host, Mike Wassenaar. If you do not live in St. Paul, or didn’t get a chance to catch one of the airings, it will soon be available on our website, www.metroiba.org.
New member Buy The Change (AKA Monkey Island and Local Tweeps) got a warm, early morning welcome on Fox News. Zack Stevens, MetroIBA’s Twitter Training instructor got some great publicity while talking about the importance of buying local and community!
