Hello! MetroIBA as an organization is up and rolling. We have a tax ID #, are incorporated with the State of MN, adopted by-laws, and have a Board of Directors.

MetroIBA is now ready to begin the fun stuff - membership recruiting and events, marketing, networking, and eventually lobbying.

We encourage all of you who are not already members of MetroIBA to JOIN NOW. Dues are $100 for businesses and $50 for individuals.

Last week the Board of Directors met and decided on 5 committees to accomplish the work of MetroIBA. Some of these committees already have people signed up from the 4/17/2005 MetroIBA meeting. PLEASE consider joining one of these committees. Your participation is essential to the success of the organization!!! Reply to me to sign up for a committee and I will put you on the contact list.

Marketing and Publicity Committee - Spread the word about MetroIBA's goals, objectives, and events to members, the public, and the media. (Co-chairs: Jason Brown and Dori Ullman)

Membership Committee - Increase MetroIBA's membership, organize member events and meetings, and develop dues structure. (Co-chairs: Beth Bergman and Marv Menzel)

Fundraising Committee - Seek grants, individual donations, advertising, and other MetroIBA revenue options.

Government Relations - Advance MetroIBA's goals by identifying and working with governmental entities and organizations whose policies effect MetroIBA members.

Administration - General support for member services, communications, committee coordination, staff and office.
