6:10Dinner and group discussionMembers share dinner and policy ideas. Ideas submitted beforehand will be available for discusison and review. A facilitator will be present for each group to ensure a civil and productive discussion. The goal: identify several policy goals/ideas that are relevant and meaningful to independent businesses that we have a reasonable chance of achieving, or building steps towards achievement of the goal.
6:30Registration ClosesSmall group discussion and dinner continues.
7:25Plenary session
Everyone joins together to review a presentation of all the suggested ideas. A brief session of walking around and sticking dots on ideas will help to whittle the overall list of ideas down to a number manageable to discuss meaningfully. The full group will discuss and de-prioritize less popular or less feasible of the remaining ideas. If necessary, we can take a preference vote to decide the top ideas.
